Default "Gardens of Misfortune"New works by J.Bergeron & C.Ryniak

Gardens of Misfortune"
Galerie Yves Laroche proudly presents Gardens of Misfortune, a collection of work by American artist Chris Ryniak and Montreal native Jonathan Bergeron (Johnny Crap). Portrayed in a series of paintings and drawings is Ryniak and Bergeron’s unique vision; a netherworld of unearthly creatures emerging from misfortunate places. All are welcome to the opening on Wednesday, July 29th 2009 from 6 to 9 pm.

With this new body of work, Bergeron and Ryniak invite us to enter a place where only the imagination exists; undomesticated civilizations of wonderful things we simply cannot explain. This is Yves Laroche’s second in a series of 2-person shows as well as these artists’ first official exhibition in Canada. Also being unveiled days before the exhibition’s opening will be a top secret project in collaboration with both artists.

Awesome.
I always see your work in old hot rod mags and it's awesome to see the progression.

It will be available through the gallery, that's pretty much it. Pretty limited too. Aren't you in N.Y.C? Drive up 5 hrs, I'll trow in a BBQ and a couple of beers. I can also supply a couch.
Or just fly directly to montreal from SDCC.

All the paintings are at the gallery, finally done painting. 18 paintings and about 6 drawings.

I'll have an online preview in a couple of days.

Chris will be in town on tuesday after spending the week-end at SDCC. The show is opening on wednesday. I am happy and nervous at the same time.
