Squeegeedragger Hamburg 2009

Hi all.

As some of you already know on here I am putting together an art show in Hamburg in September called Squeegeedragger at a gallery called Halb acht (link here -http://www.aufhalbacht.de/Halb_Acht/..._auf_Halb_Acht ) The show is already being cross promoted with the Reeperbahn fesitval and Flatstock Europe.

I have already invited a core group of artists from across the gigposter community to the show. (thanks to those who have confirmed already

However I want to do an open call to screen printers/artists on here to submit a piece to the show.

Please read the info below and email me back if you would like to submit a piece. I have a limited amount of spaces left, so please do get back to me asap if you want to submit.

Each artist will customise 1 squeegee handle (New/old) in any medium of the artist’s choice. It is important that the squeegee retains its practical use. The artist determines the size of squeegee (although not too large, as you will have to send the finished squeegee via post to the show).

Concept – To promote, expose and celebrate artists who use screen-printing and customising as their vehicle of expression.

Venue – HALB ACHT Gallery (Stones throw from Reeperbahn) Hamburg

Date – 23-29th September .

All artwork (Squeegee’s) be sent at least 2 weeks before show date. All artwork will be for sale during show. Gallery commission is 40% of sale price.

All work will be hung and shown to a high standard. I aim to hang all of the handles together, like a wall of a squeegee handles. As well as the squeegee's I have asked each artist to send a poster to the show so we can promote your poster work.

The only cost to you will be to cover the cost of shipping the handle to and from Hamburg.
