There was quite a flurry of interest this weekend, which is awesome. We could probably take a few more artists, so if you're interested in paying homage to roasted beans, let me know sooner rather than later.

And if any of you are as on top of it as Chuck was, post 'em when you got ;em!

I'm on the board of directors for an art related non-profit and we just got done with a lengthy strategic planning session, so my brain is in fundraising mode...

What about having artists design a set of labels for bags of coffee? Get 10 artists to do different labels, the only way to get all ten is to order ten pounds of coffee. I'm sure I'm not the only one who digs getting different kinds of coffee from different places in a maniacal attempt to have at least one cup of every kind... plus it helps the farmers actually make the money, rather than just have it deposited. I think it would make for some cool art, plus you get coffee when you buy it, the farmers make money doing their thing, everybody wins. It's a cool charity, seems like you could broaden the appeal and make a bigger difference.

Are Peruvian children sturdy enough to pull a chariot? I like to go fast, so I'd be shooting for some of those eastern bloc mutant olympians' kids... Although a 12 pack of Peruvians is probably easier to store and feed than 8 genetically "enhanced" mongoloid Ukrainian plow-pullers.... but I digress...

there's a winery in sonoma county that does something very similar to this and it's pretty successful.
