Hey! Pittsburgh! Posters!

WHAT: "Yinz Got Posters" is the first annual Artists' Image Resource rock art show, featuring the posters of over 30 contemporary, working poster artists from all over the United States, and even a set of Canadians. Each artist has sent 3-5 different posters for Yinz Got Posters, so the walls are gonna be covered with beauty and awesomeness.

WHEN: Septmber 8, 2007 through October 8, 2007 with a big opening reception on September 8th from 7-10pm. Bring your butt on out for it, and bring yinz friends and yinz friends' friends to jagoff. In all seriousness, this is gonna be HUGE.

WHY: Duh. And also, all of the posters on display will be available for purchase during the entire run of the show. Please contact AIR for viewings and purchases or please do come by during normal business and gallery hours weekdays Saturdays, by appointment (which are welcome!) after 5pm and on Sundays.

HOW: AIR is an artist-run organization that integrates the production of fine art print work with innovative educational programs that explore the creative process. AIR's fundamental interest is in how print and imaging processes and possibilities are being used in broader contemporary art-making practice. AIR's 10,000 square foot facility includes an Intaglio (etching) shop, a Lithography shop, a Screenprinting shop, a Digital Imaging lab, exhibition and archive spaces.

AIR is a dynamic and unique, not-for-profit community print studio in Pittsburgh, PA that has played host to artists and printmakers from all over the world. AIR has initiated work with dozens of regional and national artists over its ten year history such as Mike Budai, Mat Daly, Jay Ryan, John Ritter, The Little Friends of Printmaking, Nathan Ouldage, Julie Meredith, Mary Tremonte, and strawberryluna to name a few.
