toronto:seripop ('s record collection) take over the power plant july 14th FREE event
hey ,
the folks at toronto's best art gallery are doing a series called "playlist saturdays" where they invited all kinds of art & kultcha jerks to make a playlist that will be blasted in the gallery for that day. well they asked us to do one and we came up with a gem that is nearly 4 hours longs and includes the pops and cracks of some of our ancient vinyl. watch tourists recoils in horror to the strains of sun city girls , arab on radar , discharge , the brutal knights , kk rampage and throbbing gristle. see parents squirm and cover thier childeren's ears to protect them from the depraved lyrics of costes , the country teasers and the peppermints. see the effects of trashy weird punk and noise on the culture vulture jet set. it's sat july 14th and is FREE 2-9pm. yannick put the entire tracklisting up on the seripop blog for the currious or easily frightened.
