MÆSH POP! - festival and poster show - Munich may 24th-26th

short note for all you FS Barcelona participants before planning your trip and booking flights:

I will set up a small festival here in Munich, Germany, including poster-show the weekend in advance of Primavera.

Could be a opportunity for some of you showing and representing your work embedded in a nice event.
Though Munich isn't really a Mekka of Gigposter-scene there are interested people and especially for something like this there will be audience.

Plus: a second and updated edition of my book SQUEEGEE! will be out beside that show.


UPDATE feb 20th:

things are getting clearer right now.

this festival is going to happen from Thursday to Saturday May 24th to 26th.

it's located in Germany, Munich on the Hansastrasse at the FEIERWERK and the gallery is called FARBENLADEN.

it's gonna be called "MÆSH POP!" and it's a mixture of concerts, party, skateboarding (to whom it may concern), movies and a poster show I will set up at the gallery-space.

I did a show there two years ago, facing more than 200 posters of more than 40 artists, which some of them the artists sent to me for showing and selling them.
this time I will show on one hand parts of my own collection of works from all the different artists I collected and traded throughout the years, but mainly not selling them.
but more interesting in fact are posters for sale, presented by it's artists.

there is space for a few of you to participate on this show, representing your work, spending a few days in Munich on the way to Flatstock Barcelona!
the show itself will be free to the audience, there is no fee to pay for participating artists selling their posters.
you only need to come to Munich and take care of yourself and an acommodiation. unfortunately there are no rooms available through the location but there a cheap places like A&O-hostels and stuff not too far from the FEIERWERK. or maybe you know someone personal.

To inform about acommodiation in Munich this is the cheapest place to stay:

Hostel München / Jugendherberge München - In A&O Hotels München günstig übernachten

Both hostels are distanced about 25 minutes by feet but also connected to the FEIERWERK venue with public transportation.

MÆSH POP! is going to last one day longer, now also on May 27th.

CALL FOR ENTRIES - MÆSH POP postershow!

As part of the little MÆSH POP-Festival we will have a Postershow related to Gigposters & Rockposter Art. If you are a postermaker and interested in participating on the show - great!

Here's the facts:
What we ask for is up to 4 different posters, 2 or 3 samples each.
We will hang the posters in the show, there is space for about 250 of them.
The posters shown are also offered for sale to the audience.
The Gallery will keep 25% of all sales plus the shipping costs for sending back posters that have not been sold. The rest is yours and will be paid after the show on a paypal-account of yours.
The MÆSH POP-Festival lasts from May 24th to 27th.
Posters should arrive until May 1st so that we have an overview and can prepare the show and press-work.

If you're interested in shipping posters for the show let us know first, please!

That you will participate, of course.
Your name, studio, contact.

You will get an response-mail then with the adress where the posters ship to.
And you have to let us know then details for your posters:
Name of the artist on the poster, size, sales-price.
