Grand Opening Celebration April 7-8, 2011
Revolution Live Events and The Bluestone present a festival of rock music, film and artwork April 7-8. Highlighting the event will be the art and music Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member and Jefferson Airplane/ Jefferson Starship founder Marty Balin. In addition, a special performance by the legendary Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels will also be featured, along with local bands Wade & Mojo Blues and Dirty Side Down.
This festival will proudly showcase the Ohio premiere of Merle Becker’s documentary, “American Artifact” and over 300 titles of gig posters that define the genre from the psychedelic 60’s to today. Many of the world-class artists who created these prints will be present, including The Bluestone’s Creative Director, Mike Martin of Enginehouse13, Carl Lundgren and Mark Arminski, plus others to be announced.

Event Schedule
Thursday, April 7
5pm Doors to The Bluestone Gallery open for viewing and purchasing. Food and beverages will be available.
5pm-6pm - Marty Balin appearance at the special exhibit of his artwork
6pm - Ohio premiere of the documentary “American Artifact,” followed by meet-and-greet with the film’s director, Merle Becker
7:30pm - Performance by Wade & Mojo Blues
9pm - Performance by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels
The Bluestone will remain open for music, food, beverages, and gallery viewing until midnight
Friday, April 8
5pm - The Bluestone opens for gallery viewing and purchasing
5pm-7pm - Marty Balin appearance at the special exhibit of his artwork
8:30pm - Marty Balin performs his hits from Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and his solo career
10:30pm - After-Party with Dirty Side Down
