CALL FOR ARTISTS: "Sweat Stains, Beer, and Cigarettes" at SSCA Gallery (Minneapolis, MN)
Erik Farseth (organizer) and SSCA Gallery are currently looking for artists for an upcoming exhibition called "Sweat Stains, Beer, and Cigarettes" which is scheduled to open at the Stevens Square Center for the Arts (SSCA) in March of 2011.
Title: "Sweat Stains, Beer, and Cigarettes"
What: A group exhibition, featuring work by 6-12 artists
Where: Stevens Square Center for the Arts (SSCA), 1905 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55404
Seeking: Paintings, Printmaking, Photography, Poster Art, and/or Mixed-Media based upon the theme of sweaty, dirty, rock 'n' roll shows.
The exact number of participants will be determined by both the size and the quality of the work.
Deadline for Submissions: March 1, 2011
Theme: This exhibit highlights artworks inspired by American popular culture in the late Twentieth Century: pinball and arcade games, bowling alleys, rock concerts, etc. The exhibition will include concert photos, paintings and drawings, posters, and other artistic ephemera, based upon the theme.

Details: A group exhibition to be co-sponsored by the Stevens Square Center for the Arts (SSCA) Erik Farseth (former Chairman of SSCA Gallery).
We are looking for a mixture of paintings, photographs, printmaking, and poster designs.
There is no application fee, but artists must pay a $35 Exhibition Fee if your work is accepted into the show. This is to cover the cost of mounting the show.
SSCA Gallery does not charge a commission on works sold. All sales are directly through the artist.
Artists are responsible for all shipping charges when delivering their artwork to and from the gallery. All artwork must be ready to hang.
