    Default Screens 'n' Suds 2010 - Sat 6 Nov - Richmond, VA

    Screens 'n' Suds 2010
    Saturday 6 November 2010
    Capital Ale House, Richmond, VA

    FREE POSTER & BEER SHOW!

    Music by:
    Marco Benevento and Cherry Bomb

    Art by:
Adam Stockton, AJ Masthay, Subject Matter, Andrew Stronge, Plastic Flame Press, Dan Grzeca, Doe-Eyed Design, DWITT, Hosco Press, Itty Bitty Press, The Bungaloo, Status Serigraph, Budai, Mike Munter, Rich Kelly, Ryan Kerrigan, Steve Tenebrini, Tone Ink, David Welker, Tripp, Lonny Hurley, John Maneval and more!

Details for this year's Screens 'n' Suds event and series are here! After a successful inaugural run, we were excited to get started on 2010, but we never thought things would come together as well as they have. Read on for more awesomeness...

The FREE Screens 'n' Suds event will take place on Saturday, November 6th at the Capital Ale House in Downtown Richmond, VA (a $5 donation is suggested). The poster event will run from 4-9pm and feature the art of Adam Stockton, AJ Masthay, Andrew Stronge, Itty Bitty Press, Mike Munter, Ryan Kerrigan, Tone Ink and Taboot Art, with more still to be announced! The soundtrack to the event will be presented by Cherry Bomb, who will be spinning everything from indie pop to alt-rock to soul and funk and beyond.

Magic Hat and other breweries will be on hand with free tastings, drink specials and freebies, and a fund-raising raffle to benefit the MS Society and Richmond-area hospice will feature posters, music, gift certificates, framed art, beer goodies and more!

Following the event, Screens 'n' Suds and The Capital Ale House are proud to present The Marco Benevento Trio. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY and one half of the critically-acclaimed Benevento-Russo Duo, Benevento's newest record, Between the Needles and Nightfall, was released to rave reviews. The LA Times says: "Seemingly incapable of resisting an unexplored musical direction, Benevento can, essentially, do just about anything, which makes him exactly the kind of force that deserves notice." Time and ticket sales will be released shortly.

So the way we went about contacting artists was to contact the ones we knew, then go through the GP randomizer and copy emails for every poster we saw that we liked. After about an hour, we had enough to keep us busy, and we've emailed everyone on the list we came up with, but if you're not on our list and want to participate in the event or the series, please please please contact me at t h e g i g g a l l e r y at y a h o o dot c o m. There's room for more!

Event artists will get a free t-shirt, , a free ticket to the Marco Benevento show, 1/2 off food, and tons of drink specials, plus all the brew you can drink at the afterparty!

This series has been pretty awesome. If any of the other artists have time to showcase their beer inspired prints here, that would be awesome. Wish I could make it to the actual event tomorrow, which should be great.
