Brooklyn 04/10/10 Seripop : Hoarding Skin (new 3d installation work)

This is going to be our biggest and most complex installation to date, hope some of you can make it out to see it.

Seripop presents Hoarding Skin, an installation piece, as their first solo exhibition in New York City. Debuting at Secret Project Robot Art Experiment in Brooklyn, Hoarding Skin will then travel to the Vienna Kunsthalle in June.

“We see the street poster as the "skin" of a city , growing and shedding organically, in constant flux, allowing citizens to make their temporary mark. With Hoarding Skin we seek to engage in playful discussion about both the individual and community's role vis-a-vis freedom of expression within the urban landscape, via the colloquial and/or the monumental.”

We just spent the past month being in the studio 14 hours a day printing and cutting for this show. 49 layers on 3150 sheets.The van is loaded and we hit the road tomorrow morning. Hope some of you New Yorkers can make it!

I want to bring you kids some vegan Roti from my hood, but I fear by the time I get there they will be bags of food-smooosh. But if you don't mind eating delicious food smoosh with a fork, then I can totally hook you guys up. I just need to figure out what day/time is best to stop over and say what up. Will definitely be there for the opening too. PSYCHED!

we're almost done installing . If you wanna stop y for hangs and snack tomorrow between 11 and 230 is good. we have a meeting at 3 and will be back around 4-430 till 6 or so.
i lost my phone but am trying to check email/facebook really often.


it's perfect weather for installing , the paste is drying really fast. stoked!
