Default Vorab Fabrik - Sonnenzimmer is showing new work!

    Vorab Fabrik
New Work by Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi of Sonnenzimmer

    Curated by Alex Fuller

Vorab Fabrik or "Beforehand Factory" is Sonnenzimmer's first exclusive solo gallery show focusing on their non commissioned artwork. Pulling from such influences as minimalism, arte povera, and abstract expressionism, Nakanishi and Butcher have created a body of work that forgoes the functionality found in their posters yet retains a communicative graphic quality. Vorab Fabrik will feature new paintings, prints, and installations.

    February 26th – March 19th
    Opening reception, February 26th, 7–11pm

    The Family Room
    1821 West Hubbard Street
    Chicago, IL 60622

Finishing the install tomorrow! Nadine and I each made useless musical instruments. A piano that draws and pendulum that plays guitar.....She's got a couple of awesome paintings too. I made three print series.....maybe a film loop or too... still deciding.

    Awesome...I wish I could attend.

Your description reminds me of the work from Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla.
