The renowned underground comic artist, Gilbert Shelton, will be featured in an exhibit at the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture (in Austin, Texas) from March 13th through May 8th, 2010. The artist will be present at the opening reception on March 13th, starting at 79pm. Creator of Wonder Wart Hog, The Furry Freak Brothers, Fat Freddy's Cat and other fabulous tomes, Shelton has lived in Paris, France since 1991. His appearance in Austin during the month of March represents a unique and rare opportunity to meet this groundbreaking artist. Both original art and prints will be on display and some pieces will be for sale. He will also discuss the release of an animated film featuring the Furry Freak Brothers.
