Default Mondo / Alamo Drafthouse at Gallery 1988 Friday

In case any of you folks are in LA, I thought I'd drop a line about the one-night event this Friday at LA's Gallery 1988. Some of the Mondo/Alamo Drafthoue staff will be coming through to sell new, exclusive, and sold out movie merchandise. It should be very rad.

Ok then, that's excuse enough for me. We're SUPER excited about all the stuff debuting at this show.

First up, Skinner's handpainted Medusa prints.

Started as a one-color screenprint on Arches watercolor paper:

    They ended up like this:

Now, here's Kevin Tong's new ode to the Alamo. He drew the image from pictures of the inside of the Alamo Ritz theater. This is the main edition, there will also be some where the screen image isn't printed, then Kevin will be drawing in movie scenes by hand.

    Ken Taylor's Alien:

And the money shot. Rhys Cooper, 24" x 36", glows in the dark.

Man I'd love to do one of those Alamo posters...it would be a tough line to live up to though...some of the best work of any series.
