Posted first at API forums, but nobody goes there...
I hadn't seen much discussion of this yet, but it's fairly evident that FS and SXSW in general might be a little weird because of the economy. Does anyone have any different plans or ideas for handling their booths, sales and such in light of this? There are some obvious absences from different folks, are they due to this, or the extra day, or other reasons? Discuss.

we'd love to go, but can't justify it as easily as in past years.
we just don't sell enough to cover the expense, unfortunately.

looks like less vendors than last year, which is good. I counted 63.
One of my plans is to drink more free beer.

...again a 50/50 chance I'll make it to Chicago. SXSW is never going to be an option for me. Too expensive all around. I'm sure you all sit around crying in your beers every year that I'm not there.

naw, the economy is exactly as bad as they are saying on the news.

the only reason i did so fucking well at Seattle FS was because almost all my prices were 1/2 of what they usually are.
