Demo Prints at FS 20 - Call for Artistes

Seems like a number of you are driving. I am getting tired of hustling people for film, then running around making screens, etc. the day before or the day of.....

So I have a different idea, this worked pretty good with a few people over the last few.

If you would like to have a small poster run done at flatstock, and you have the ability, bring a couple of stencils on screens, some paper (even ink if you can) and I will print it during the show.

2-3 colours max.

size....keep it under 16x20 or smaller, max 50 pieces

Unfortunatley, the contract for verbal endorsements at the print demo booth at this year's Flatstock 20 has already been made. A consortium of artists pooled their money to bring you the phrases "Peveto Sucks" alternating with "Meet Schwampy, thee hottest new poster artist - stall 3, men's bathroom".

We are going to have a good program of prints this time. Here's some shots of prepping Billy Perkin's Liz print. We have preprinted a few colors last to be completed onsite at Flatstock 20.

Thanks to Peverto and Val from SXSW for setting it up and making it happen, CNNR and Wally for draggin my sorry ass around to make screens and move crap, Ferg for the use of the table, and Coronado Studio for the use of the facility and loaning screens and squeegees and misc. crap.(Local Austin people, contact these guys for classes and contract printing, they are expanding their services)

To the artists, Perkins, CNNR, and Bdix, we dood it! nice prints, I'm sure they will be available for you who didn't get a chance to see them at FS20. Apologies again to Dspring, the USPS let us down again - we will run that dog in Seattle!

To my neighbours, apologies for the noise from the vac table, but it didn't seem to hurt your crowds. And to Mig 'stinky' Kokinda, I'll share demo space with you anytime!

To my rackers Wally, Jen, Carla, Merf, and Mauz, couldn't have done it without you!

The whole flatstock was great, the 4 day format worked well, the Connors are the most generous hosts around, and it was fun camping at the Buda compound with Merf and Carla (wife of the year) Burwell, and Uncle Charlie.
