FS13 schedule

as far as i can tell, this is the schedule for this coming weekend, including 'official' and 'unofficial' FS-related events -

friday, july 13

9-11 am - the bird machine open house. info here

11-5 pm - jim pollock open house, info here

3 pm - deadline to PRE-load your posters into crosshair press (1319 lake street) so they can be put into a cube truck, which will be parked overnight on the union park grounds. if you can't make this, you are free to carry your work in saturday morning. this is just an offer to help make sat morning easier.

5-10 pm - pitchfork music festival. sonic youth, GZA, and slint play. i believe there is a "no-in-and-out" policy.

6-10 pm - butcher shop gallery FS13 art show, info here. i believe that this will continue after hours for FS people, specifically. i also believe dan macadam's band arriver will be playing. bring a couple bucks to help pay for the kegggggggs.

saturday, july 14

8 - 10am - load into union park, at gate at washington and ashland streets. street parking available in all directions, i would suggest west or north of the park.

noon - 10 pm - pitchfork music festival and flatstock 13. bring sunblock.

10 pm - close up your tent flaps, cover your work with plastic, leave it where it is, or put it into the cube truck.

sunday, july 15

morning - possible screwball press open house, see steve w. on saturday for details.

then, get yourself to the park in time to set up and be ready to go, at...

noon - 10 pm - pitchfork music festival and flastock 13. bring water.

10 pm - tear down and remove your work. clean the grounds around your tent, stack your table and chairs in the table pile and the chair pile.

What is the WIFI situation at this event? I am trying to borrow a laptop for apaypal option, but cant find anything on if there is or isnt internet connection floating in the air.

i have been told there will be WiFi. this is not PMF's responsibilty to provide for us, but it SHOULD be there.

tent arrangement will be pretty much like last year.

i have talked to the mayor's office and have ordered mid-seventies and partly cloudy for the weekend.

question: "so we can load our stuff into the truck at crosshair (1319 lake street) between 3 an 4 pm on friday, and on satuday morning the truck will be conveniently located about 50 feet from our booth, which will make loading in that much easier for everyone? but if we miss the truck loading on friday, we can still just load our work in on saturday morning?"

answer: yes.
