To Cute or not to Cute?

I have two ideas in mind for my FS13 poster. One is cute and fun, while the other is really cool but a little more serious and designery.

I can't do both, so I have to decide which to go for. I'm of the opinion that cute and fun sells better, but the designery idea would be cool and different, but probably mostly only appeal to print/poster nerds.

What's your opinion? Go for the easy but slightly less interesting sell, or go a little more original higher brow with the likelihood of fewer sales?

Design for the masses or design for interest?

make it interesting so those who dont know about flatstock will come.

I'd already pretty much decided to go with the masses before posting, but I thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on the subject.

One thing about the designery one is that it is actually more relevant to Flatstock than the cute one.

which will make you the biggest financial return?
which one will best promote you?
which one is most likely to attract the type of clients you want?
