    Default Flatstock 12 Thanks...

great flatstock as usual! thanks api!

so nice to hang out with all the folks i only get to see once or twice a year. i’m sitting here typing this and am kinda of culture-shocked to be back in cold and rainy seattle.

    props to:
bobby & lisa for letting sandra, jackie and i crash at your pad.
most gracious hosts ever! if you find my sunglasses, let me know

geoff for delivering my box to my booth. that rules!

a full meal of tapas & 2 pitchers of sangria after the 2nd day w/ terich, crosshair & stiles! we were stoked!

the connor's for having us over saturday night. great place and awesome dogs.

bobby for taking me to the gun range and letting me rip off a couple of shots.

    hanging out with old friends:
connor, dixon, terich, stiles, both andy’s, clay, peveto, jay, casey burns, eve & paul imagine, jennifer, leia, billy & casey, the vastaugh’s, mark & beth, budai, allison, burwell, brian and sara turner (hope to see you in seattle)

and meeting a bunch of new friends:
8ball (thanks for the bitchin after-party), ferg, crosshair, tom, pete my booth neighbor, the ever hilarious max-flo, mike “punchline” murphy, erick, brad & aubrie (thanks for the ride!), brian & the guys from table 2 press.

everyone freakin’ rules and i have no doubt that this is the tightest knit community ever. nothing but kindness and great times out of everyone. can’t wait until the next one.

p.s. i racked my brain trying to remember the whole whirlwind weekend.

Ron Suman & Megan Adams from SXSW deserve a huge thanks this year for providing the best promotion ever for an Austin Flatstock. The radio spots and print demos seemed to make a huge difference, as did the step up in signage. I sensed that we turned a corner this year in the interest and genuine respect that we received from the local community. I don't know why it took this long, but I definitely felt it. I saw people with money in hand, eagerly looking for some art to spend it on- something I've only experienced to date in Seattle. I'll bet next year Austin's Flatstock will be on fire.

Also, I don't know if the booths were bigger, but mine seemed huge and totally ruled.

We had a great time just hanging out and not manning a booth all weekend.

Extra special thanks to Strawberryluna and Letta for letting Jim and I crash in their room for 2 nights - thanks from printmafia-matt as well for saving him from sleeping in a car. These ladies are awesome. "Letta's Wolfpack" art print coming soon.

Thanks to Rob Jones and his wife for Friday night fun at his house. Rob has the COOLEST stuff. And good advance tunes too.

Mark and Beth Hero for breakfast, sharing the info and packed car fun.

Andy Diesel and Andymac for printing our Daniel Johnston poster for Yaris. And just for including us in the project.

Good to see Miss Amy Jo, Ron Liberti, Fisher, Murph, Connor, Bobby, AA, Hobbs, Stainboy, Justin, Tuffy and everyone else that makes these things so fun.

    See you all in Chicago.

Rob Jones came over and wondered what smelled so "fishy" at my booth. Something in those Firehouse inks. No wonder I felt high all weekend.
