sorry i've been away from this subject for a while, dealing with FS9 in chicago.
okay, i started this thread here:
http://gigposters.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45018
and it gets a bit scattered, so i want to sum it up in this new thread.
FS11 is happening in hamburg, germany at the reeperbahn music festival, on september 21-23, 2006. vendor spots at this event are open to poster makers (no dealers or galleries), and you have to join the API.
we are hoping to have a roughly equal representation of american and european postermakers at this event, and space is limited.
the event will be in a large tent in the middle of the reeperbahn, which is hamburg's red light district. traditional flatstock-style booths will be used. there will be tent security around the clock.
as with all the flatstocks so far, each postermaker (or poster shop) can get one table. single tables can be split by TWO postermakers, but no more than that. (for example - if detlef and jens and christina have a company together, they can get one table. if they make their own posters as detlef or jens or christina, though, they cannot all three share a table.)
you would be responsible for your own flights. we have not yet heard back from the earlier requests for discounted lufthansa flights. i doubt these will be cheaper than flights you can buy for yourselves via the web. i will reply to those who submitted lufthansa requests when i hear back from them. i am not taking any more lufthansa requests.
during the event, you would be able to stay at a hostel near the event, again, at your own expense, but discounted from the regular price. i understand this will be a group hostel situation, where we all pretty much stay at one place together.
there will be between 25 and 30 booths, and we are trying to get a balance between american and european postermakers.
the booth fee will be 100 euros. (roughly $130 US)
this is two weeks after flatstock 10 in seattle.
