No; Chicago is very hungry for poster meat. However, keep in mind that this event will be very different from a typical Chicago audience. Lots of the crowd last year came in from out of town, and they were VERY young overall. They seemed to buy posters largely on the basis of band name, but they all seemed to have pocketfulls of sweaty twenties from mom & dad, to get them through the weekend. Lot of traffic.
I would venture that there will be less people buying multiple posters, or expensive/collectible posters, and many more people eager to spend $10-$20 one ONE thing with a band name they recognize, than at a typical Austin of Seattle Flatstock. Less old farts, more kids.
That's my educated guess.

Not me. I plan on filling two paper boxes and spending some cash.Originally Posted by crosshair

John Solimine is going! Sweet!
I know one old fart who will attend.
There is quite a lot of interest from the hippie/jamband community (they collect a wide variety of artists, not only Phish) There are a bunch of them in the Chicago area and they will show up.Originally Posted by guybur
I got plenty of positive reactions from that phish collectors board plus I think a lot of the East Coast people will show up that are in driving range that normally would have skipped a Austin or Seattle Flatstock.
Also, there is word that Pollock and Drownin Creek might show (I emailed Arminski to get on board but havent heard yet) ... both Pollock and DCS are big faves of the hippie/jamband crowd

the bands playing are hipster bands. expect hipsters en masse.
