So a lit disco floor set-up is out of the question, huh?

I asked in the other thread, but no one answered, so I'll ask here, will there be any need for volunteer help, setting up tents and tables, moving stuff, booth monkey, beer runs, etc. Please let me know...
Thanks, Erik

This is a rather self centered question, but I already did my poster for next Flatstock in Austin, which was supposed to be FS10, but now with Chicago being FS9, Seattle turns into FS10, making Austin FS11, can I sue the API for damages, loss of sleep, and mental anguish?
no
Are you an official spokesperson for the API? I need to hear this from someone at the "top".
unfortunately, jeph, no one ever said which FS would be which number. please note this. you can't be sure of anything in this field.
i'll send a check right over for damages, though, of course.
erik and others who have offered -
thanks for your offer of help. we will definitely need it. there will be a couple major areas i can see now -
1) hanging posters and placing flatsock booklets around the city. this won't happen until june.
2) if you live in chicago and have a favorite out-of-town flatstock friend, this might be a nice time to offer them a place to stay. as i said, the hotel thing is still in the works, and comes with no guarantees.
3) the actual day of set-up, saturday july 29, we could probably use a bunch of extra hands helping everyone get their stuff from their cars into the park. there is plenty of on-street parking, but it's a couple blocks away, so you'll have to pull up, put the blinkers on, unload, and go park. runners to go between cars and booths would be a HUGE help.
4) as with #3, taking down on sunday night will also be a ton easier with some extra hands.
5) i have already received a couple emails from people asking about other stuff to do and see in chicago. i'll be starting a thread on that soon. local input would be greatly appreciated.
6) anyone who wants to arrange to pick up out-of-towners flying into midway or ohare, and to ferry them to where they're staying, would probably be a hero (or whatever melia is when she performs this service in austin).
i know there's more, but i can't think of it right now.

Can we get a list of people who are signed up...and have that updated as it fills...I like to see who is going and how many booths are left...
I will donate however much time you need for whatever job that would be helpful. Is that vague enough?
