it just works out that i HAVE to fly with my stuff.
anyone have any advice for me?
im planning on fitting all that im bringing in a larger arches paper box packed securely. anything non-paper is all going in my suitcase.
do i have to check-in the box or can i carry it on and put it in the closet?
ive flown way too many times to not know this so forgive my naivete...

Pack well, it WILL get thrown around.
Also, if it's more than 20 pounds, I'd buy one of those cheap dollies

you'll probably have to check the box, but take a look at your airline's website anyway. I just pulled something on continental saying they'd let anything on provided it's length + width + height is less than 51 inches. I've got a 3 or 4" diameter tube i'm going to try to get on board with that way and store in their little coat closet.
and just a guess, but if there are still empty seats for your flight, they'll probably be a little more flexible.

you have to check it. depending on the airline anything over 50 - 75 pounds they might charge you but it was like $20. Go get a colapasble dolly. They are maybe $15 and totally worth it. I don't ship our stuff anymore. way easy to fly with it and it's there when you land. Unless You are Andy V and you leave it on the plane.

yeah, i actually know most tricks in egtting around airline rules.
i picked the earliest flight on thursday because i know most people dont show up for the first flight in the morning...so im hoping i can just move up to first class and hold it with me...or that theyll just put it in the front closet for me.
im gonna pack that bitch tight though. thank god i dont have a ton of posters...ha.
i had lightly considered putting them in tubes... but that doesnt make sense, right? id want everything to be flat...right?

Chris - Check the box - or better yet - get a HUGE suitcase with wheels. Keep it under 50 pounds (or be prepared to pack it in 2 boxes)

i can fit all mine in one box, i really dont have much stuff.
in fact, im going to be taking way more home than i actually come with.

Southwest has portfolio compartments behind the last row of seats. That's how I got my stuff to the very first Flatstock.
