Hey folks since I know everyone is done printing and all packages have been shipped, hotel rooms reserved and bags packed I thought you'd have some time to read about all the going ons while you are in town. So here's an official South By Southwest/Flatstock Itinerary.
Wednesday March 15th
Get into town and get bbq/mexican and drinks. See shows.
Thursday March 16th.
It's Ron Suman's Birthday. If you don't know who that is he's the guy at SXSW who takes SUPER care of all of us way above and beyond anything he really has to do. If you meet him buy him drinks and give him posters. He rules.
8AM - Load in anytime after 8AM but get there in time to set up before 1PM.
1PM to 6PM - Official Flatstock hours of operation.
7PM - on... Text Opposed Artist Reception at Bolm Studios http://bolmstudios.com
More Free Beer plus tunes by poster artists Jamie Ward and Noel Waggener who happen to be badass DJs.
Friday March 17th
11AM to 6PM - Official Flatstock hours of operation.
ALL DAY – Andy Mac screen printing demos and workshop at the Flatstock Convention.
7PM – on... Flatstock BBQ at Obsolete Industries. You have to have already paid to actually eat at this sucker but you can always drink if you missed the ticket buying window for the food. Free Beer and other stuff. Print Mafia Award Ceremony will also be going down here.
Saturday March 18th
9:30AM – API meeting at the Flatstock site. Updates and Nels Jacobson will lecture on copyright laws for those who missed Seattle.
11AM to 6PM - Official Flatstock hours of operation.
4PM – Mig Kokinda Stencil Demo/Workshop
ALL DAY – Andy Mac screen printing demos and workshop at the Flatstock Convention.
8PM - South Austin Museum of Popular Culture will be hosting a reception for all Flatstock artists- come on by and have a drink and food before you head out to catch a music act somewhere around town. SAMOPC is also hosting Nels "JAGMO" Jacobson's one man show which is awesome. You have to go just to see the bellbottoms. Sunday March 19th
Noon – BBQ road trip to Smitty’s
3PM Bowling. Lanes TBD
DIRECTIONS FOR GETTING FROM THE CONVENTION CENTER TO ALL OF THIS STUFF WILL BE HANDED OUT DAILY.
