Well I just got the word from El Presidento this is a go for FS8.
Thanks to Geoff and Ron from SXSW for their background work to set it up.
The plan is to set up a screenshop on site and produce some posters and shirts at FS8 over the three days. People can stop and pull a print, learn a bit about silkscreaming, and watch the progress of a couple of demo prints we will complete. Printing will be ongoing each day.
I'll be there for most of the time unless/until I become inchoherent. I'd like to put the call out to printers or others who are attending if they would like to help out for an hour or so, either on posters or shirts and help people print, they should contact me and I will make up a schedule.
As far as workshops for API members, if people have a specific topic or area they would like to see covered/demo'd, we can work that in too, possibly in the morning or later on in the day. Open to suggestions/requests.
API and SXSW are providing the space and worktables/power/water
Geoff has volunteered Decoder Ring and a few of the Austin shops to help with the equipment and exposing and screens.
Diesel Fuel Supply Co or whatever the hell they're called will chip in inks and some materials,
Squeegeeville will send yours truly south to Austin with a few presses and a mighty thirst.
