everything is finalized and registration is open over at www.flatstock.com

The API site is next for updating and hope to get the basics going over the weekend. If youhave any questions about being current or if you have problems registering at the API site let myself and Rene know. As always there will be a BBQ and Mark Pedini is looking to set up an Art Show. More info will follow on that.

FLATSTOCK 8, presented by the American Poster Institute and South By Southwest, will be held for three days, March 16-18, 2006 at The Austin Convention Center, Austin, Texas during the South By Southwest Music Convention

Single booths can be shared but are limited to TWO artists/studios per table. Double booths are limited to one artist or studio. If you plan on sharing please indicate who you will be sharing with on the form. Cost is $195.00 (US) for a single 10 x 10 booth and $265.00 (US) for a double 10 x 20 booth. SXSW will provide three pieces of cardboard for booth backing. The booth style is "pipe and drape" and you can hang banners, posters, etc. with pins or hooks / wire. Poster show booth DOES NOT include: electricity, phone/fax lines, internet connections, audio visual equipment, labor, shipping, receiving or any other amenities not specifically mentioned in the contract you will receive. Phone lines and electrical connections may be available at an additional cost.

After you fill out the online registration form you will receive a contract and instructions from SXSW, sign and send the FLATSTOCK 8 contract and registration fee as instructed by Feb 14th, 2006. Discount SXSW wristbands are available for Flatstock artists only. They are $110 until feb 11 and only when ordered at the same time as your booth.

By purchasing a booth you are allowed to sell original poster art and art created by your studio ONLY. You may not sell pre-recorded music, or other non-studio related materials. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Failure to abide by these guidelines can result in ejection from the event. i just got us (burlesque) registered, but if we wanna submit a different bio, what's the deadline on that? ours is an older one that i spiffed up, but i'd love a chance to rewrite the sucker. also, we may convince mike or aaron to come, and then we'd have another person. damn, i make things complicated!
