Flatstock 7: My recap

I'll be brief, as I have a shitload of Sub Pop stuff to take care of.

Volunteers: They all ruled. Seriously. Laura Stalions first and foremost kicked ass. She was everywhere at once taking care of anything that needed taking care of - and no one even asked her to do it. She just knew.

Tube booth volunteers ruled. Thank you. That was one busy booth. We sold out of 500 tubes before the third day was over!!

This was really the first year where I was inundated with folks wanting to help.

I wanted to check out everyone's booth and visit a little more but I was just so busy at my booth

The new venue was awesome. It really made you feel like you part of the festival, and in turn I think folks felt like we were a major part of the programming. It was the first year where I felt legit.

There were a lot of highlights for me: the annual road trip with Jay Ryan and Peveto. Dinners with the Bird Machine. Kevin (the new Bird Machiner) and I playing basketball at the BBQ and becoming the reigning champs of 2 on 2. Any chance to see Mike King is always a treat. I love that little guy. Going to lunch with Andy, Burwell, and Mike King. Hanging a little with Ryan Nole. Sitting next to Dirk and Eleanor was super cool.

Blah, blah, blah... I had great time. Thanks to anyone I haven't ackowledged.
Sorry to anyone I may have offended or touched inappropriately.

Seeing everyone was awesome. I wish I had more time to hang with everyone.

I thought that the whole weekend was the smoothest operating FS yet. Not a hint of a bump along the line. Thanks to the whole API org for what for me was a seamless operation in Seattle.
-I wish I had time to/had made time to, chat more alll around. There were a couple new timers who I hope made their own excuses to introduce themselves around. The Furturtle Fellows were lovely and talented. R. Black was a nice addition to the scene. Justin K. is always lovely to have around. Kleinman and Peveter and Renny and Connor-san, and Andrio A. and his reocrds, and bobbydixon, Mat D., and Jack Ryan, and Ambassador Compton, and The King and the Diesel family and Nelz, Tara, and Clay and the 'Cycles, and the Imagine's, and the Shiny Robot and the Stalion was everywhere and and...so it was great.
-The venue was awesome. Those doors were a treat. We couldn't ask for more.
-The BBQ was GREAT! Let's go somewhere else next time at least as great!
-Hotel: completely convenient.
-Geoff P. great kisser.
-Fritz and Chris were a dream team. Make that Chris and Fritz.
-The slideshow at the AOMR show was super. Very revealing. Really cool. Thanks, guys, for having me as part of that.

Hope everybody had a safe trip home. Great FS7. Flawless.

in no particular order...
-Meeting everyone that I hadn't met before and finally being able to put a face to a bunch of names.
-Seeing mr. danger's work in person.
-Getting plastered in the company of everybody at the BBQ.
*Those salmon burgers.
*Seeing Seattle for the first time and deciding to move there and live at the public library.
-Watching rene, jay ryan, and andy diesel gettin' their dance on.
-Mr Tuffy's photobooth pictures.
-Hearing Perkins tell stories.
-The sign mr. danger put up at our table on Monday.
etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
thanks to everyone for working so hard to put this thing together... I had a blast!
I can't wait to do this again here in Austin.
