As Im sure you know, we have a hurricane in the gulf which is winking at us...
All weather reports, both on AMW and on the local stations in Houston predict strong rain starting late Wed., and intensifying all day Thurs. accompanied by very strong, tropical storm-like winds.
If youre planning on flying out anytime Thurs-Fri., it might be good to formulate your personal 'Plan B'.

cool.......i'm flying from jackson, ms to houston and from houston to san fran.............

i just heard that jackson is having strong winds that are damaging buildings......sounds like my little prop plane is going to be a bumpy ride

just pretend your a hurracane scientiste flying into the big storm.. it will be fun.. Hey Morley Safer from 60 minutes had to crash land his plane last night here in Houston. His landing gear didn't drop.. So remember, if the wind doesn't get you, there could always be mechanicle failure..

you realize there are certain points at takeoff that flying relys entirely on the laws of physics.. In other words there is a breif moment where pilots have virtualy no control.. Many crashes have happened at this critical point.. It's like just as the wheels are lifting off the ground.. very interesting facts..

Takeoff is when the people around me think I must be a terrorist because I look so nervous. I think it makes them nervous. They lean in to see if what I am mumbling is Islamic in nature.

Any Austinites have some pills? Good strong pills?
