I made the mistake of pointing out to Michael Hacker that my name, Pobiak, sounds a bit like the German word "Pobacke" which means "Butt Cheeks." Be careful what you say at Flatstock.

shout out to my booth-neighbours, the incroyable peq-frères, the impossible vera-machines, the madpixels, arrache-emy, alex and joris.

Big thanks to the Hamburg crew (Schacke, Torsten, Heni, etc) without whom this would be impossible.

High fives to all the newly-bloodied veterans who threw caution to the wind this year and made ths their first Flatstock, or Eurostock. Cheers also to the old farts who carry on the sacred traditions of debauchery and mayhem, tempered only by sheer creativity and instant fellowship in art and struggle.

Now, all come to attention and salute the mighty and beautiful Mara Piccione, who spent the last several months organizing Flatstock and dealing with all the bullshit that entails.

I raise a glass to all of you, from here at the bar in the Hamburg airport hotel where Shittish Airways booked me after canceling my flight and utterly failing to rebook me until tomorrow.

And let it be known: Dan Stiles was the only flatstocker man enough to eat labskaus with Heni and me. He is now a member of a sacred elite (also including Mr. Jay Ryan) and has the certificate to prove it.

I'd say, a taxi from the airport to the Mutter is only 30 bucks, but my liver isn't having any of that nonsense.
Nevertheless, I'd also like to raise my cup of detox tea, esp. to Mara and to the rest of the merry pranksters, old and new ones, and to Dan MacAdam, who simply refuses to leave this city. See you in Dresden, Austin, Barca or Hamburg.
