One thing that should help is across the street and one block east there is a group of hot shit new bars all with parties and showcases happening so people will be on that side of the Convention Center this year.

Attempting to plan packing now... Anyone know what the weather's like for this thing typically?

It's always waaaay warmer than I expect, being a true Yankee and not often seeing the sun or temps above the 30s for about 4-5 months prior to Austin Flatstock. Usually sunny too. 60s low, 80s high. Sometimes it rains, but not like huge insane downpours like we have in Pittsburgh a lot.

So like, niiiiiiice.

Dude, last year was cold as hell though...so pack with that in mind.

Over the past 4 weeks in Austin, the temperature has been between 16 degrees with snow/ice pellets to 80 degrees and sunny. So yeah, keep that in mind.

i always end up sweaty 'cause it's a kabillion times warmer than pittsburgh, so also keep that in mind. heh. t-shirts, jeans and a hoodie or 2 seem cover all bases.
