What's a good Halftone Plugin for Photoshop?

What's a good Halftone Plugin for Photoshop?
Don't like the one that comes with it....

I have version 5, and it has two halftone filters. One is Sketch...Halftone Pattern, and the other is Pixelate...Color Halftone.

The the latter is much better than the former. Which one were you complaining about?

um, bitmap. that seems to be the easiest.

copy the channel you want to half tone. goto channels then choose color halftone under pixelate. use that channel for load a selection then create a new layer and fill the beyatch.

plug-ins are not necessary outside of the basic ones in photoshop. learn to use the program and you can do anything,

The best and quickest way I've found is to use the Quick Mask and Pixelate>Halftone (adjust settings as necessary). Make sure to apply the filter to the Quick Mask, not the image. This will give you a pretty cool slection that you can fill with any color you want.

um, bitmap. that seems to be the easiest.

wurd... Convert to Bitmap (halftone pattern) is the best. Start with Levels or Curves to get your contrast right and then Convert to Bitmap... so simple and so perfect...

Who needs plugins?

*edit* forgot to mention Unsharp Mask and Gausian Blur. Very useful before you convert to Bitmap (halftone)...

f the filters. go with what maynard is talkin about, thats true halftoning anyway i suppose since its an output option kinda.

One of my favorite ways o make a halftone is under IMAGE change the fiile ti BITMAP. Then a window will come up and ask you how many pixles per inch and under that will be METHOD. In METHOD you select HALFTONE SCREEN click OK the another box pops up and here you can control. 1. Dots per inch 2. The angle of the dots 3. the shape of the dots

Then you file is a bitmap tif which saves memory.
