Default Quick way to distressed look

I'm working on a design that I did in illustrator. It's clean and sharp
but I will be adding it to a different layout that is distressed.
Just trying to do a quick and easy distressed look to the one I just created

I prefer the dragging across the floor on the bottom of my shoe method.

    old school xerox tho.

using the side of a dark crayon then reversing works. cheesey and stands out like a sore thumb to the trained eye but........... all the trained eyes are busy complaining on the GP.

Search Google for concrete or rock textures, live trace it in Illustrator (select Ignor White in the options) and Bam you've got a reusable texture.
