    Default Video + flash?

so i'm trying to incorporate short video clips (edited from original .mov) into some flash banners. problem is i can't get the file sizes down to spec. the website requires all flash ads to be under 40kb. the smallest i've been able to accomplish is 80-120kb depending on video length.

now i'm exporting from adobe premiere and have worked with it very little, but i can get around the program and edit the video fine enough. i've tried every possible codec and compression setting and the exported flv file is still over 120kb.

when i import the flv into flash and try to adjust those settings, i am lucky if the final swf is around 80kb.

any suggestions on settings i may be missing? the more i compress the video the crappier it looks.

i've seen video in flash ads before esp. the same site mine are for, so i know the under 40kb file size is possible.

    thanks in advance.

the basic answer is you can't do it. 40kb is a barely passable animated GIF. heh.

The 'real' solution is that most sites that sell Flash ad space offer the option of 3rd party hosting. ie your 40k flash file resides on their server, and a linked video file is hosted on your client's site. When I've had to deal with this, the site usually has the option right in their ad spec sheets and needs a couple days for pre-approval of the off-site files.
