I was using that with my 3000.

I could not get nice blacks without it.
halftones are real nice.

It also made the postives print way faster on my 3000.

anyone ever heard of replacing the CMY cartidges with black? does the 300 accept them or do you have to refill the old CMYs with black ink from a syringe?

Our halftones & everything else works perfect w the standard driver on the 3000 but only with tiger. Not leopard. Perfect for everything w settings much like shown above. Pshop or illustrator. Posjet films. Zzzzzzzzz.

There are a lot of people that do the whole system in black. Seems like a waste as you'll never print color again, but I'm sure the blacks would be richer.

Beware though not all films can take that much ink. I've accidentally printed color on some films only to see them bleed everywhere.
