Nope, just scan Old Magazines, and little bit of photoshop and that's pretty close. Ritchie is right, at least to some extent, but of the people, will never see the difference.
You can try to make it with your own way, for exemple a friend of my father is using a late 80's/early 90's printer to make his half tone stuff. That's far from AA stuff, but its pretty fucking cool.
I tried another technique, 2-3 years ago:
-print a laser jet version of what you want in N&B (colors stuff gives helluvah results too)
    -buy acetone
    -take a blank paper sheet
-face the print on the blank paper
-acetone it and then rub the all shit strongly

In color it gives stuff like that:

    That looks nice.

    Questions:
What is N&B? (Sorry if that a stupid question. I'm not familiar with that acronym.) I'm guessing it means to print a negative.

So when you say acetone it, you mean drench it in an acetone bath? or just rub it with a acetone soaked rag?

Sorry, N&B is Noir et Blanc… Sometimes you know the french nature runs back pretty quicly whhen you speak english. So yeah Print it in B&W (black and white).
If you wanna use it (the acetone trick) as a print print in mirror mode, if you use photoshop after it's not a problem.

Use a rag, or neither the paper or the ink will survive. The hardest thing with that technique is to find the right dose of acetone. Too much the ink will be disolved and pour on the sheet, not enought acetone, no print.

I do insist on the laser printing, if you wanna make it working.

(If my english is not clear enought just ask, sorry for the N&B stuff)…
