    Default Question for web Animators.

I will work on an animation project with an ad agency and I will provide the characters that an animator will work with.

They asked the files to be delivered as: hi-rez TIFF/PSD Alpha Illustrations.

What do they meant by ALPHA? Just don't want to ask them, I am pretending that I am good and I know what I'm doing...haha.

    Anyone can help?

    Thanks in advance.

alpha = transparency in the motion industry, so they want your characters on transparent backgrounds. Tiffs and PSDs allow you to save files like this. Pngs and gifs too but those are flattened, I am assuming they want unflattened files with your artwork cut out with no background.

I have to deliver the characters in pieces. Like 1 body, 3 heads, 5 arms...

A background, and some other elements...

Can't wait to see the results.
