    Default online / offline issue

    I've got a site mockup that works online but not offline.

    The site is a Flash file in a HTML page. Simple- no JS or anything. The Html page has an anchor tag called "top" and the Flash uses it to scroll the page to the top. Great. Works fine online, but not offline. Client needs it offline to show on computers that don't have internet.

    I have googled the crap out of this, can't seem to figure out an answer.

    HALP?

    the path is "index.html#top"

    the name of the file is "index.html"

    rather than going to "top" it reloads the page.

    i'm just using getURL :

    getURL("nafp.html#top");

    it's referencing the anchor tag:

    <a name="top" id="top"></a>

    I'm starting to think that it's one of those things that nobody knows about because - who cares if a Flash site in an HTML doc can access an in-page anchor while offline? seriously. it's just stupid.

    I never realized that was an issue- guess I've never tried it. From what I understand, it will only work when it's on a server like you've noticed. Looks like there's some dumb javascript workarounds, but probably isn't worth it.

    I saw the javascript workaround too- but can't use it for this offline version.
