text/HTML document batch processing?

anyone know of a HTML/text document batch processing program?

the problem:

I have a bunch of HTML documents that I need to strip specific PHP code out of so I can run a client's site on a CD. the code is in there for a specific reason on the server, but is causing errors in the off-line version.

rather than going in and hand-editing all the code, I'm looking for a way to automate.

Any suggestions?

You can do this in dreamweaver. Site wide changes with find and replace. Find: "code goes here" replace with: "replacement" or leave blank.

Can also be done in BBedit.

if i was stuck with that job, i would download the whole site, and use a "site-wide" find-and-replace in Adobe GoLive (or dreamweaver, whatever). i would replace with "nothing".

not saying it's the most efficient solution, but it'd get the job done.
