Default Photoshop file to transparency... help

I have a black and whit drawing(key plate... I am doing the rest with rubylith) that I scanned into photoshop, now I need to get it printed, the only problem is that its like 17x23 inched.

I think I read here awhile back that reprographics places will print big stuff, but do they print big transparencies? Where do you get your transparecies made?

or if you are a local(san diego county) and have a big ass printer, let me know what itll cost to hook it up.

Also any alternative solutions are welcome

    thanks

you could tile them together. unless you have some masssive half tones involved, then it's a tad more difficult.

we could do it for you but then we'd have to ship it.

you could also go to kinkos and have them print it on regular paper and then use baby oil to expose it.

also, you can get your own 18x24 transparencies (laser printer approved) Dura-Lar Clear Acetate Alternative - BLICK art materials only the stuff in the purple package. Take that to kinkos and have them print your files which you saved at 100% as a pdf on to your stock through the OCE machine.

like print it on abunch of transparencies, and tape them together? I will do that if I cant find a better way, but wont the overlap show on my burnt screen?

yes the baby oil does work. just get it fully saturated, try to get out all the air bubbles and and then double your exposure time - it's not as good at transparencies but will do the trick.

John from Spike is doing it at our studio in this video: Coudal Partners

it really shouldn't affect it unless it's like three or four layers. once you tape them up, go back and trim it at close as you can and it will be fine. i do it all the time. i can only print out 11x17, but sometimes make films way larger.

the baby oil method is a bitch. but yes it works.
