Illustrator Help: swirling type

anyone know how to create swirling type like the sample at the top right here?

3dmax? looks to be made in a 3d program.

You need to draw the swirls/coils/spirals using either the pen tool or the spiral tool. Then select the "Type on Path" tool and type what you want onto that path. Use the warp tool to change planes and warp text sizes, etc. You may need to play with font sizes as you go along the path so as to create the shrinking/distance effect.

apparently it was made in illustrator...

does anyone have Illustrator CS? there is a script that came with CS but not in CSII called

ChangeSizesOfTextSelection.js

seems this script will scale the font size to achieve that effect... if you do have CS can someone do a search and find it and send it to me... it would be much appreciated

oh i'm guessing you did

try typing the text out.
convert to Outlines.
Make an art brush.
apply to path.

yep... to get the reverse thing going on the swirl you can double click on the "text on path tool" and select "effect:skew"... but I need the script for the changing of the text size...
