    Default CMYK question

I know that for body text on a white background you should use a PURE black (cmyk 0,0,0,100), and if you want vibrant blacks that "pop" you should use variously recommended RICH blacks. So my question is: what do you use for body copy that is on a colored background (flat field of color)? Would I still use a pure, or would i go with a full cmyk rich since it's going to be placed up against another rich cmyk color field?

(if that phrasing makes any sense)

anyhoo, let me know what y'all think. i am dumb at random shit like this.

I always found that increasing your cyan to about 20 percent with 100 percent black reproduces the best on full color overprints.
But that's me, and it's only been on newsprint.

    whoa denny. WHOAH.

so, "craig", who's done a bunch pf pre-press says that you DO NOT want to use a rich black for text, pretty much ever. as you might get a slightly janky registration issue.

    "always bet on PURE BLACK."
