Default Hot link in Photoshop CS2

Is there a way to embed a link into an image IN photoshop? I am designing buttons (photo/graphics) and would prefer to be able to set up the links myself instead of someone else.
    Thanks!

    File>jump to imageready

slice tool / slice properties tab

or selection tools (not wand) / image map properties tab
(like Clay's menu up there - be sure to save as a gif - jpeg don't work on some servers for some reason)

oh and for both options save optimised WITH html (file will be saved in same draw unless otherwise specified)

plenty of instruction in help files and other geek forums - good luck

your description is right on and correct for generating HTML code from Pshop/Imageready, but it doesn't answer his question. A graphic cannot contain a hyperlink.

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for your input. I will check out the Image Ready thing - I make a lot of animated gifs through there. i perhaps misspoke in the sense that even hiding a link behind a graphic would work. I don't know - i am not a tech guy. I am not actually even a guy.

    hello again (hi john!)
Ok, so I created an image in photoshop, brought into ImageReady, used the slice tool to section off parts of the image (so there are 4 different links in an image), copied the links into the properties tab, then saved optimized as HTML and Images. Can't save as a gif because the links would not save.
And it seemed to work just fine when opened in Explorer. But when it is pushed through my ftp to load on our site, all i get is that 'dead image' thingy. I don't know how to explain it - that x with a rectangle around it.
Is there some way to save it as a gif and some how keep the links hot?
sorry - the image ready help isn't helping at all.
    Thanks!
