Interesting article (to type-nerds like myself).
I'm just wondering what Chantry will have to say.
(If he's not still banned from that site).

nice cluster of unemployed 'designers' with way too much time on their hands right there..ayup.
Futura is my all time favorite typeface. I used it on my personal site and I'll use it whenever I think I can get away with it. I love the F and the O particularly.
I read that book 'The elements of typographic style'. it gave me a greater respect for people who spaz out about type, but at the same time I wanted to put a gun to my head by the time I had finished it. I did learn quite a bit from it though so it was worth the investment of time.
I love futura i use it all the time. I think I will use it on 2 new products this week.
lolzer........................I love being the client AND the designer...IM ALWAYS RIGHT!
har har...*belch* fart.......(sniff)
Being a type nerd... I appreciate when type has meaning (be it history or otherwise). But, let's face it, having a meaning behind the type, other then readability, is really just to please yourself, and other desgners. Clients rarely give a shit, and don't want to sit and listen to you explain the history behind Baskerville, or Goudy, or Futura, or Universe...........
Or maybe I've just worked at a sign shop too long?
Do you have the link to that? I wouldn't mind reading it
