Firefox question...

anyone know if there is a setting to have Firefox automatically fill out the url of a site that is in your bookmarks? I remember in Safari if you started typing out a url it would automatically fill in the rest of a bookmark... Firefox gives you a menu of previously visited websites only, not of your bookmarks...

Say I have gigposters.com as my bookmark... in Safari if I typed gig.... gigposters would automatically be filled it as an option... now if I clear my history and type, no autofill...

is there a option or add on or anything?

go to the preferences menu, privacy tab and make sure that 'remember what i enter in forms and the search bar' is checked and it will auto fill... pretty sure

He was talking about autofill via bookmarks. There are sites I haven't visited in eons that I don't want to go through my "organize bookmarks" window to get to.

It isnt automatic, but you can assign a keyword to a bookmark, then when you enter the keyword into the address bar you go to the url.

To do that choose 'organize bookmarks' from the bookmarks menu. Right click a bookmark and choose 'properties'.. add a keyword.
