    Default itunes question

    I have mp3 file that is 8,285 KB does anybody know how to compress the file down in itunes so it's not so big?

    only thing i can think of would be ripping (or downloading) at a lower bitrate. 128kbps is about as low as you can go with the sound quality not being too bad

    yep, thats's under ->itunes ->preferences ->advanced ->import
    -> import with mp3 coder and -> 128 kbits, or lower

    then go to the "advanced" menue -> convert to mp3

    your new mp3 file is under user/you/music/itunes/albumtitle
