Wacom tablet question...

I have a Wacom Intous III... wondering if there is a setting either in the wacom prefs or in Illustrator that allows you to set pressure = density?

ie: the harder you press, the darker the line gets... I can set it so that the harder you press, the thicker the line... but I am looking for more of a pencil feel...

any help would be great..

you can do that in photoshop, for sure. but im not sure you can vary the opacity with illustrator.

sorry to add another post neglecting the subject- but I'm considering buying a Wacom (or like) tablet and no nothing about the technology.

Can anyone recommend a model & size adequate/functional for tedious illustration, but not too expensive?

if you on a mac, in your system preferences you can customize the settings (speed, pressure, ect.) of your tablet. as for customizing in illustrator alone, i'm not sure.
