InDesign Question

[Sprint Sucks]

(first time InDesign user here)

I have a newsletter in InDesign that is ready to print, but I have one problem. There is an image on the front cover that wraps around to the back cover. Right now I have it set up as two images because of the way the pages are displayed: (cover) (page 2 / page 3) ... (back cover)

Is there a way to set up the document for the printer, where all the spreads are visible, as they would be printed?

Does that make any sense? I should have probably eaten dinner before phrasing this.

is the newsletter just a piece of paper folded?

If so i would have layed it out as 2 spreads with the first being the front and back cover and the second being the interior

It's 12 pages (4 folded).

i would go to document setup and turn off facing pages, then setup your back and cover as your first spread, so you can see how your images lineup.

Also, if you want to keep your document structure intact, I'd go to Print Brochure, and have InDesign properly impose the pages, then export to a PDF. I believe it's called InBooklet in versions previous to CS3.

shouldn't 1 and 12 be one spread anyway?

I can't stand InDesign.

It took me too long to learn PageMaker - how dare they take away the one program I could really cruise in.

and yes, I know pagemaker sucks.

It will print as 1 spread but previews as cover and back cover. Useful in a lot of ways but not for this.
