Default Best way to send Corel file

I have a guy that is sent me a corel file. It has alot of gradients in the art.
I told him to send it as a PDF (I didn't know what the art was going be) I need to edit it to make seperations.
When I click on the area that I want to edit. I get what looks like a bitmap box. I'm not sure if I can convert this so I can select and eidt it or if the file just needs to sent a diiferent way.

come people, I need this one

Have them save the file as an .EPS or .AI from Corel.
Then either StuffIt or WinZip it and send it on via eMail.
Or if it's too big to send that way use YouSendIt.

Corel is rendering the gradients and I don't know anything about Corel other than it will save in EPS/AI formats.
If they get a pop-up asking for what version of AI they need the file to be compatible with tell them 11 or higher.

    I think.

I got it, he sent it as an AI file and that worked.

This artwork is perfect example of someone creating some good artwork but no production behind them to know how the seps need to be done.

Right on. I feel your pain. Some people have no idea about getting things from the screen to print.

But that's where you come in.

    Tax 'em.
