Default Using French Paper for giclee printing?

    Hi everyone!

So, I've got my brand-spanking-new Epson R1800 (which rules) and a big old stack of French Smart White I bought thinking I could make gallery-quality gicle's of my digital stuff to sell on my site. Except they look lame!

So far my best print looks a little dull, lifeless, and most importantly--like it was printed on just run-of-the-mill typewriter paper and not beautiful, expensive, French! Anyone have any tips, paper profiles, printer profiles, etc for printing on French Paper. Should I just give up and buy Epson paper?

Did you adjust the print setting to highest possible quality and heavy stock paper?
the amount of ink the printer uses for the image varies when you print on regular leaf and stock.
    give it a try

The other thing to remember is that offset papers handle ink differently.
Go ahead and spend a couple bucks on a nice piece of Arches watercolor paper or some RivesBFK

I'll look up the Rives BFK--never heard of it.

I had my setting on "premium matte presentation paper" on the highest quality. I'll play around some more and share my results. Anyone else have any tips?

I really don't want 100 sheets of French just for printing out emails...
