we need like illustrator tricks of the day and shit. This is all really helpful.
O.k. I asked this before a while ago and I forgot how to do it. I need to take one object and use it to cut out a section of another area. Like black is sitting on top of tan. I need to use the black to punch a hole in the tan.
It was pretty easy if I remember.

is the shape you're trying to knock it out of on a different layer?
is that layer locked?
