Vector specialist online tonight?

I need help figuiring out how to separate something that is going to be screenprinted. Not sure how to do it properly.

So it is a pink and black color, the pink overlaps like so

do i add a stroke the birds? 1 point? 0.5 point?

I am worried about losing the quality of the birds b adding a stroke.

so do i do the same as the paint splatters as seen here?

You could try selecting eveything, if it is all vector, and going to the Pathfinder palette and then use the "Trap" command in the fly-out menu.

Just add a stroke to pink but, you will have to take it away from area that is not being overlapped by black

god I hate vectors, cause I dont know how to manipulate them well enough..

in photoshop:: Select > color range> select the pink in the image

copy (ctrl +c) then delete the pink

paste (ctrl +v) into a new layer


Then I would add some black to the parts where the pink meets the black (bird by "birds" text and where pink bird meets gun)

Duplicate the composite layer twice.

Name one Pink, and one Black.

On the Black layer, select all the Pink and fill White.

On the Pink Layer, select all Black and fill white. The select all the Pink and add a 1pt stroke to it, fill all black.

Print pink first then black on top when you run them.
